We're proud of the projects we have created for our industry-leading strategic partners. Check out some of these projects here, and keep an eye out for more of the innovations that arise from our collaborations, powered by visionary ideas and Leopoly technologies.

Learning Experience

The Dental Suite supports dental assistant students with a variety of 3D experiences for lifelike dental training.

The Leopoly Dental Suite is a hardware and software training platform with multiple tailor-made educational modules for both high school students and dental assisting programs.

The zSpace experience will support high school and dental assistant students’ learning and interests with a variety of 3D experiences. The training solution will invite students to examine relevant virtual body structures, learn about dental terminologies, oral diseases, dental procedures and more.

Modules

Leopoly Dental Module 1 - Tooth anatomy

Students will explore the principal parts, the major tissues and other areas of the human tooth by inspecting the mandibular first molar tooth.
  • Principal parts of the tooth
    • Crown
    • Neck
    • Root
  • Four major tissues
    • Enamel
    • Dentin
    • Cementum
    • Pulp
  • Nerve and blood vessels
  • Surrounding area of the tooth
    • Gingiva
    • Alveolar bone
    • Periodontal ligament
  • Root canal, apical foramen, gingival sulcus
  • Periodontium

Leopoly Dental Module 2 - Permanent teeth (Types, codes and surfaces)

In this module, we will take the permanent (adult) dentition and demonstrate the most important classifications, terminologies and the most commonly used numbering systems on them. Specifically, students will learn about the following:
  • Permanent mandibular and maxillary teeth
  • Permanent teeth classification: Incisors, canines, premolars, molars
  • Classification: Posterior teeth and anterior teeth
  • Quadrants
  • Teeth names
  • Functionalities: Cutting, gripping and tearing, tearing and crushing, crushing and grinding
  • Designation of tooth surfaces
  • Notion systems (for the permanent teeth)

Leopoly Dental Module 3 - Deciduous teeth (Types, codes and eruption pattern)

We have covered the permanent dentition stage in Module 2. Now let’s explore the primary and the mixed dentition stages. Specifically, students will learn about the following:
  • Deciduous mandibular and maxillary teeth
  • Similarities and differences between the permanent and deciduous teeth
  • Eruption patterns
    • Eruption times (deciduous teeth)
    • Shedding times (both permanent and deciduous teeth)
  • Recognizing certain teeth types on a panoramic dental x-ray image (mixed dentition)
  • Notion systems (for the deciduous teeth)

Leopoly Dental Module 4 - Dental restoration (Oral hygiene, dental filling procedure)

In this module, we will learn about dental caries, oral hygiene and perform a typical direct tooth restoration procedure together. Specifically, students will learn about the following:
  • Tooth decay
  • Causes and prevention of tooth decay
  • Dental fillings (composite vs amalgam, direct vs indirect restoration technique)
  • Step by step procedure of a typical direct tooth restoration procedure
