LeoInsole Release notes | March 4, 2026

Release date: March 4, 2026

Overview

This release introduces shoe type-based designs, the new Accommodative mode, and extended sizing options including Mondopoint. Additionally, bottom contour control, improved shell rounding, and several usability enhancements provide greater flexibility for full-length and ski-boot-specific insole designs.

Key Enhancements

1. Shoe Type Selection

Shoe Types are now available. These represent different insole styles and define the overall outline of the insole.

These styles are designed as full-length outlines but also work in metatarsal and sulcus lengths, with Morton’s extensions and gait plates applicable.

You can find the Shoe Type selection in the Dimensions tool.

2. Accommodative mode

A new Accommodative mode has been introduced, replacing the previous Thick insole tool. When enabled, the bottom contour of the selected shoe type—or the contour of the brandsole—is loaded, defining the shape of the insole’s bottom surface, which becomes completely flat. You can find it in the Dimensions tool and enable it using the Accommodative toggle.

Contour Editor (Top / Bottom)

When Accommodative mode is ON, a Top / Bottom contour selector appears at the bottom of the Dimensions Tool. This allows you to edit the top and bottom contours independently. The control points on the toe plate are linked and can only be moved together, ensuring a consistent toe shape.

4. Shell options update

When Accommodative mode is enabled, a new Bottom Rounding Offset parameter becomes available in the Shell Options tool. This setting allows adjustable rounding of the insole’s bottom edge.

5. New sizing type: Mondopoint

A new Mondopoint sizing type has been added, providing ski-boot-style sizing for the selected shoe type. When paired with the Ski Boot shoe style, it provides a generic insole shape optimized for ski boots.

6. Flange tool availability

The Flange Tool is now available when Accommodative mode is turned ON.

7. Measurement panel update

In Full Length mode, the measurement panel in the bottom-right corner now shows the insole’s full length.

We hope these enhancements prove valuable to your workflow. For any questions or feedback, please do not hesitate to contact your LeoShape representative, or fill out our contact form and we will get back to you shortly.
