Release Date: May 6th, 2026
Overview
This release introduces design customization & template saving, a new option in the posture correction tool to adjust forefoot abduction/adduction, vertex color support, circular proximal design, measurement values on 3D model, increased distal boundary limits for flared edges and more improvements!
Key Enhancements
Design customization and template saving
Design template customization now includes more options. Adding and removing control points is supported for outlines, holes, different thickness areas, reinforcements, struts (both 3D printable and positive models), and pattern components.
Functionality for adding, removing, and duplicating the following components is now available: hole, different thickness, cutout, reinforcement, embosser, loop, edge thickness, strut (both 3D printable and positive models), and pattern.
The duplication function features two options: in-place or mirror. When mirror is selected, the component is added to the opposite side of the foot along the Z-axis.
For control point-based components, mirroring may cause the contour to invert (e.g., patterns appearing on the outside). A flip direction button is now available to reverse the contour orientation.
Modified designs can be saved in JSON format as templates for reuse at any time.
Forefoot Abduction/Adduction posture correction
A new option has been introduced in the Posture correction tool to adjust forefoot abduction/adduction.
Circular proximal design
A simple circular trimline template designed for CNC manufacturing has been added to certain domains.
Vertex color support
The AFO editor now supports vertex colors for .obj files. Scans with color data “baked” directly into the mesh will now display their colors automatically upon import.
Measurement Values on 3D Model
Measurement values are now visible on the scan model, providing a clearer overview of the data alongside the existing measurement panel.
Increased distal boundary limits for Flared edges
The distal boundary limit has been increased in the flared edges tool.
Bug fixes
AFO render issue
Occasional display inconsistencies in the AFO models, primarily affecting orthographic camera mode and multi-view windows, have been resolved.
Brush selection mode issue
Several issues affecting the reliability of the selection in brush mode have been resolved.
Joint tool placement issue
An issue where the joint contour rendering failed to update during adjustments until another contour was selected has been resolved.
Jagged edges on outlines
The contour projection algorithm was improved through several methods to ensure smoother contours and generated edges.
Unnecessary contour reprojection
Redundant reference space updates and trimline re-projections during tab switching were removed. These updates are now only triggered when actual scan modifications are detected, eliminating unnecessary processing.
Edge thickness parameters are not saved
Edge thickness component parameters are now correctly retained during tab switching. An issue where these settings were lost when navigating between tabs has been resolved.
Footplate failed to generate
An issue where the footplate failed to generate after the use of certain scan cleaning tools has been resolved.
Toe box ridge issue
A ridge that previously formed at the junction of the generated toe box and the scan has been resolved.
Measurement tool issue
An issue where the measurement tool would deactivate or become unresponsive after certain operations has been resolved.
Pressure relief tool failure
In the pressure relief tool, an issue where certain shapes failed to result in mesh modifications has been resolved.
