LeoSpinal Release notes | May 20

Release Date: May 20, 2026

Overview

This release introduces design customization & template saving, measurement values on 3D model, an update to the pressure and relief tool and vertex color support.

Key Enhancements

Design customization and template saving

Design template customization now includes expanded options, allowing you to add, remove, and duplicate components like holes, different thickness areas, cutouts, reinforcements, embossers, loops, edge thickness, and patterns. Additionally, adding and removing control points is now supported for outlines, holes, different thickness areas, reinforcements, and pattern components.

The duplication function features two options: in-place or mirror. When mirror is selected, the component is added to the opposite side of the scan along the Z-axis.

For control point-based components, mirroring may cause the contour to invert (e.g., patterns appearing on the outside). A flip direction button is now available to reverse the contour orientation.

Modified designs can be saved in JSON format as templates for reuse at any time.

Measurement Values on 3D Model

Measurement values are now visible on the scan model, providing a clearer overview of the data alongside the existing measurement panel.

Pressure and relief tool update

Minor refinments on the Rib flare shapes.

Vertex color support

The editor now supports vertex colors for .obj files. Scans with color data “baked” directly into the mesh will now display their colors automatically upon import.

We hope these enhancements prove valuable to your workflow. For any questions or feedback, please do not hesitate to contact your LeoShape representative, or fill out our contact form and we will get back to you shortly.
