LeoInsole Release notes | July 30, 2026

Release date: July 30, 2026

Overview

This update introduces a customizable Gyroid lattice type and side wall covers, along with a new real-time, cancellable progress bar to track lattice generation. Key fixes improve the stability of the accommodative mode, resolve artifact issues in the flange tool, and correct a metadata overwriting bug during InsoleGO project imports. Additionally, an auto-alignment issue affecting Non-Weighted and Foambox scan modes has been fixed.

Key Enhancements

Gyroid lattice type

We have added a new lattice type, the Gyroid, to our lattice generation engine.

It features two adjustable parameters:

  • Cell Size: Defines the size of a single gyroid unit cell (the individual repeating wave structure before the pattern tiles). Measured from the center of the walls, the distance is half of the cell size, though the actual distance between the two waves depends on the thickness.

  • Thickness: Controls the wall thickness of the gyroid structure.

Note: The preview shows a simplified approximation; the final shape is only visible after generation.

Side wall cover for lattice

Similar to the top cover, a cover can now be applied to the side walls. Both its thickness and height are adjustable. The height adjustment is measured downwards from the top contour.

Progress bar

Unlike other editor settings that update instantly, lattice generation can take more time depending on your configuration. To keep you updated, we have introduced a progress bar that shows the real-time status of the process. The process can also be cancelled.

Improvements and Fixes

Accommodative insole rounding amount

The rounding amount parameter was functioning incorrectly in accommodative mode and has been fixed.

Accommodative artifact

The stability of the accommodative mode has been improved, preventing artifacts that could occur under certain parameter configurations.

Negative flange artifact

An issue in the flange tool has been fixed, where setting negative values caused artifacts to appear at the connection points.

InsoleGO project file import bug

Fixed an issue during InsoleGO project file import where metadata was overwritten by the refitted insole parameters.

Incorrect auto-alignment in Non-Weighted and Foambox scan modes

An insole alignment issue has been fixed in Non-Weighted and Foambox scan modes, where the scan separated from the insole.

We hope these enhancements prove valuable to your workflow. For any questions or feedback, please do not hesitate to contact your LeoShape representative, or fill out our contact form and we will get back to you shortly.
